A Gift
from Mothers to Daughters was held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the The Pierre Hotel in New York City. The theme of the luncheon, A Gift from Mothers to Daughters, was inspired by the gifts that generations of women have passed on to their families, one of the most important is the gift of knowledge about health – especially information about bone health and osteoporosis.
To acknowledge and encourage this gift, NOF hosted a festive afternoon of socializing and networking with a silent auction and fashion show by J.Mendel, with jewels by Harry Winston. Leadership included event chair Sharon Marantz Walsh; vice chair and NOF trustee, Carol Saline; and honorary chair, the legendary model Carmen.
Honorees included Jane E. Brody of the New York Times; best-selling mother and daughter authors, Mary and Carol Higgins Clark; advertising executive and health advocate, Margo Catsimatidis; and entrepreneur and author, Ivana Trump.
